81 Rhode Island career and technical students participated in the SkillsUSA Championships held June 21-24. More than 6,500 students competed in 100 occupational and leadership skill competition areas. SkillsUSA programs help to establish industry standards for job skill training in the classroom. These industry driven competitive events are modeled after the Olympics where the top three individual/teams receive gold, silver, and bronze medals. The following Rhode Island students placed in the TOP TEN in the country after competing in the SkillsUSA Championships.
